Pricing varies based on your preferred room type and the activities you’re interested in. Please call us or reach out to us via our online form to discuss pricing.

What time is Check In / Check Out?

Check in begins at 3pm and check out is at 12pm. If you’re someone who likes to have some time to recover from jet lag or the stress of traveling, we recommend flying into Bali the day before your retreat begins.

Is it mandatory to do all things offered at the retreat?

Absolutely not. We want you to do as much or as little as you’d like. You’re welcome to attend every session and activity, or spend your entire day lounging by the pool. And if you’ve signed up for a certain activity prior to your arrival, but then don’t feel up to it—don’t worry. We’re happy to work with you and adjust as needed.

Do I need to be an experienced Yogi / Surfer / Muay Thai fighter to join this retreat?

All levels are welcome. Our activities can all be adjusted to suit any level. We welcome absolute beginners in all activities—we love that you want to try something new. After you book your retreat, we will follow up to gauge your experience level in different areas and let our instructors know your experience ahead of time.

Yes, we require that all retreat participants purchase travel insurance prior to their stay with us. We highly recommend using World Nomads for insurance coverage.

Is there alcohol served?

We want you to have a good time for you and if that means having a sunset bevvie from our bar, we are all too happy to provide it. We will have a range of beers, wine and cocktails. We also have some lovely juice and mocktails should that also be your preference. It’s all up to you. All alcohol is at an extra cost though and will be billed to your room for check out.

Traveling to Bali

If your trip to Indonesia is less than 30 days, no travel visa is required. For more travel information, visit our page about traveling in and around Bali.

How do I get to The Asa Maia retreat?

We have one airport in Bali—Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS). We will arrange airport pick up and drop off on the day that you check into the retreat and the day you check out of the retreat. If you are coming to the retreat from another area of Bali or another hotel, we can arrange to have a driver pick you up (limited to certain areas.)

What are the seasons in Bali?

The temperature remains more or less the same all year in Bali—around 30 degrees Celsius and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. There are generally two seasons during the year and although the weather varies slightly, you can still partake in many of the same activities all year round.

  • Rainy Season (December to March) - The rainy season brings brief, daily showers.
  • The Dry season (April to November) - It’s slightly less humid in the dry season, though the temperature remains more or less the same all year.

What should I pack?

It’s generally very warm and fairly humid in Bali. We recommend lightweight, breathable, comfortable clothing for your tropical getaway. Bring a light sweatshirt / shawl for nighttime if you’re visiting during the dry season. For the retreat, we also recommend that you pack swimsuits, sunscreen, casual summer clothes and yoga / workout gear. Should you wish to purchase clothes or any other items while you’re here, we have great local shops nearby.

We do recommend that you leave some space in your luggage when you come to The Asa Maia. You’ll receive a few gifts during your retreat—plus we have an amazing gift shop on site.
